UAP Law Photography Club Holds Freshers’ Reception Fall-2021 Virtually

 

To promote creativity via photography, sharing and criticizing the photos of peers, educating and improving technical abilities, and spreading passion for photography across the community, The UAP Law Photography Club (UAPLPC) is committed to grow a photographers’ community among the students of UAP, Department of Law and Human Rights. UAPLPC’s mission is to promote, support, and enable members to pursue and achieve national and global recognition and awards both as a club and as individual members of the organization. In continuation of that, UAPLPC organized a “Warm Fresher’s Reception” on 7 February, 2022 with 100+ participants.

Dr. Chowdhury Ishrak Ahmed Siddiky, the Head of Department of Law and Human Rights, University of Asia Pacific, delivered his speech as honorable Chief Guest. At the very beginning of his speech he cordially welcomed all the newly admitted students to the Department of Law and Human Rights of the University of Asia Pacific. He mentioned that, “Photography is an Art, and students who have passion in photography may learn it. He further said that this group is one of the most active clubs not just in the law department, but also across the whole university setting. Dr. Ishrak said once again that he is really pleased with the club’s activities and that he believes that a photographer from this club would one day represent UAPLPC on an international level. At the end of the meeting, he greeted all of the members of the executive committee as well as the club convener and encouraged the newcomers to become members of the club. 

Ms. Nazia Wahab, Assistant Professor and Convener of UAPLPC was the special guest and she praised UAPLPC for arranging such a beautiful program; thanked them as well. She shared his two sweet memories with them and at the end of his speech she told the students to always have a kind heart, to be an ideal person and many more. Ms. Wahab expressed her gratitude to the UAPLPC for putting up such a wonderful program. She welcomed all of the students on their decision to engage in the club. Ms. Wahab said that in order to improve one’s competence, one needs develop one’s soft skills. Ms. Wahab added that, “UAPLPC is one of the most active clubs in the University, and this club has held a large number of undeniably brilliant events, such as the Inter-Department Photo Exhibition:2021.”The faculties of the department, DAO of  UAP Law were present in the event.

At the very beginning, Shahriar Islam Shovon, President of UAPLPC delivered his welcome speech and he said that for the corona situation, University Campus remains closed, that’s why we cannot welcome them in the UAP Campus. This is our simple endeavor to make them feel special even in this corona situation. UAPLPC is one of the most prestigious clubs among the other clubs in the University of Asia Pacific. Back in 2019, UAPLPC started its journey with an aim/ mission to build up a photographer’s community in the Department of Law and Human Rights. In this short time, this club has arranged a number of workshops, Photo Contest and Exhibition, Inter Semester Photo Contest, Inter Department Photo Exhibition even in this lock Down, this club is safely ensuring all the club activities through Online. Every Friday they are broadcasting a live session titled “Friday Photo Adda” to alleviate students’ mental exhaustion. At the end of the program, the President of UAPLPC thanked all for his participation and welcomed all the freshers in The Department of Law and Human Rights as well as UAPLPC.

The English daily Newspaper the Business Standard (TBS), The New Nation served as the media partner of the event and The Lawyers Club Bangladesh, The Daily Morning Glory was the online media partner of the event.

At the end of the session Mohsin Hasan Abir delivered his concluding remarks & thanked all the students for participating. He encouraged all the newcomers to join the club. Shohana Islam Sraboni (Office Secretary, UAPLPC) and Mohammad Asif (Program Coordinator, Contest & Exhibition) served as the hosts for the event.
