A Discussion Session on The Prospects and Challenges of Law Profession

A discussion session on “The Prospects and Challenges of the Legal Profession” was organized for newly admitted LL.B. (Hons.) students of the University of Asia Pacific. The session was arranged by Dr. Noor-E-Medina Suraiya Jesmin, Assistant Professor, Department of Law and Human Rights, University of Asia Pacific. The key objectives included:

  • Providing insights into different career paths such as advocacy, judiciary, corporate law, and legal academia.
  • Addressing the challenges law graduates may face, including job market competition, ethical responsibilities, and the need for practical skills.
  • Encouraging students to actively engage in their studies and professional networking to enhance their career prospects.

The session featured a lecture by Md. Asaduzzaman, Head of the Department of Law & Human Rights, University of Asia Pacific, Bangladesh, who discussed the evolving landscape of the legal profession. Additionally, alumni of the department attended the session to share their experiences and introduce students to different legal career paths.
